Updated: Dec 28, 2023

With 1,000 miles of coastline, there is no denying the Dominican Republic has some of the most amazing beaches in the world. That’s just the beginning! This Caribbean destination has so much more to offer.

The Dominican Republic truly has it all.

Golf: Tee Time By The Sea! Try your hand at any or all of the 26 magnificent golf courses in the Dominican Republic. Punta Cana offers more than a dozen world-class golf courses created by designers such as Nick Price, Jack Nicklaus, Tom Fazio, and P.B. Dye.

Chocolate: Chocolate lovers rejoice! The Dominican Republic is one of the top 10 producers and manufacturers of cocoa in the world. Take a tour of a cocoa plantation and learn how the cocoa bean is grown and processed into chocolate. Let me tell you…it is some of the best chocolate I have had!

Whale Watching: If you visit between December and March, you will have the opportunity to spot humpback whales which migrate down to Samana Bay to reproduce in the warm waters. Take a whale watching boat tour from Samana to see these spectacular creatures.

Rum and Cigars: The Dominican Republic fertile soil produces some of the worlds best tobacco and plenty of sugar cane. Tour one of many cigar and/or rum facilities throughout the island or just kick back and relax in a cigar lounge and enjoy award winning tobacco brands such as La Aurora and La Flor Dominicana.

Natural Wonders and Eco Tourism: Home to 9 distinct ecological zones, the Dominican Republic is a nature lover’s paradise. From lush rainforests to waterfalls to cenotes to 29 National Parks to caves to Pico Duarte (the highest mountain peak in the Caribbean) there is much to explore in the second largest Caribbean country.
